Description
The 2024 APEC Industry-Academia Collaboration Workshop, held in Chinese Taipei, addressed talent shortages in emerging industries by fostering inclusive, market-driven talent development. Bringing together 111 participants from 13 APEC economies, the workshop showcased best practices in industry-academia collaboration, digital transformation, and innovative education. Key sessions focused on talent cultivation for sectors like AI, sustainable energy, and FinTech, with site visits offering real-world insights. Aligned with the APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040, the project enhanced knowledge-sharing, market-driven adaptability, and cross-regional collaboration. Participants gained actionable strategies to meet evolving workforce demands, strengthening networks and advancing sustainable, inclusive economic growth across the APEC region.
