Description
The Report contains summary of the presentations made during the APEC Workshop “Revealing Women’s Potential in Creative Economy” (27-28 June 2024) which was arranged with active participation from UNCTAD, as well as public and private representatives from Indonesia; Malaysia; Peru; the Philippines; and Russia.
The Report encompasses such issues as global and regional trends in development of the creative economy, challenges faced by women in the sector and opportunities opening up due to the features of creative and cultural industries, as well as practical business cases of women’s involvement in the sphere.
The Report concludes with a set of issues recommended for further examination by APEC amidst an ever-increasing role that creative industries play in trade and economic growth.
