Best practices are mainly chosen from the 92 projects of PPFS, ATCWG and HLPDAB and OFWG projects (2017 – 2021) .

For the first year, the following 6 projects are introduced.

1) APEC Seminar on Food Security by MAFF Japan (2012-2019)

2) Reducing Food Waste by Using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Innovative Technologies (July, 2019)

3) Strengthening Public-Private Partnership to Reduce Food Losses in the Supply Chain(2013-2018)

4) Workshop on E-Commerce Opportunities for Indigenous and Ethnic Minorities: Bringing Innovation, Expanding Markets and Unleashing Potential (2020)

5) Assessing and Stocktaking on Economy-Level Policies relating to Sustainable and Climate Resilient Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture (2018)

6) PPFS Webinar on Digitalisation and Innovation of APEC Food System: Sharing Digital Innovation Technology Policies in APEC Food System and Discussing Perspectives and Best Practices for Next Steps of Roadmap Action (2021)

In addition, projects and practices conducted by the member economies which are not posted on the APEC website, but are regarded as informative by the member economies are also introduced. Those projects and practices include the following:
