This report examines how APEC economies can address rapid population aging through digital transformation and Smart Silver Innovation. It outlines the project’s background, pre- and post-workshop surveys, and a multi-economy workshop designed to identify policy challenges and effective digital solutions. The research includes questionnaire-based evaluations, field surveys, and comparative case studies from China; Indonesia; Japan; Korea; Singapore; the United States, and regional APEC trends. Findings highlight the growing need for inclusive digital strategies, workforce development, and public-private collaboration to support healthy aging. The workshop emphasized the role of emerging technologies—AI, 5G, big data, and blockchain—in improving healthcare, mobility, and social participation for the aging. The report concludes with recommendations to strengthen capacity building, promote international cooperation, and advance sustainable, inclusive smart-silver ecosystems aligned with APEC priorities.
