The report presents the planning, implementation, and outcomes of the 18th APEC Conference on Good Regulatory Practice (GRP18), hosted by Korea as the 2025 APEC SCSC Chair.
The project focused on the emerging challenges of digital technologies and their implications for regulatory policy across APEC economies. GRP18 introduced “Digital Technology” as the main theme and featured sessions on GRP applications, cybersecurity, data governance, and innovation-friendly regulatory design.
The conference brought together policymakers, experts, and industry representatives from APEC economies to exchange best practices and strengthen regulatory cooperation. Post-conference evaluations showed that participants reported improved understanding of GRP tools, AI governance, and digital-era regulation.
