The APEC Investment Facilitation Action Plan (IFAP) outlines eight guiding principles that make it possible for investment to move quickly to support productive business endeavours. This report evaluates APEC economies’ implementation of the IFAP principles, providing a snapshot of actions and measures taken since the last review in 2019. It shows that economies have made concerted efforts, such as an increased focus on responsible business conduct and using digital technology to support accessibility and transparency of investment policies. The report also covers lessons learned, policy recommendations to strengthen IFAP implementation, and analyzes the investment outlook in the region, especially regarding developments post-COVID-19. Additionally, the report discusses investment issues in the digital economy and sustainable development.
