APEC Transportation Ministers' Meeting (TMM12)

The 12th APEC Transportation Ministers' Meeting (TMM12) brings together ministers to examine how digital technologies are being integrated into transportation systems to boost connectivity across the Asia-Pacific.

Ministers meeting in Beijing will share case studies on applications including intelligent traffic signal control, autonomous driving vehicles and traffic risk forecasting. They will also discuss how to strengthen interoperability around standards, data flows, algorithm security and privacy to ensure better regional transportation development.

The ministerial meeting comes as deepening connectivity across the region continues to play a large part of APEC discussions on economic growth and resilience this year, with maritime shipping alone moving more than 80 percent of the Asia-Pacific's goods.
